A few dates to remember in December
Happy Birthday to all celebrating Birthdays and Happy Anniversaries
The Senior Center will be closed December 25 and 26. Also December 31 and January 1. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
A senior has more than once mentioned, we should change the name of the senior center to the “social center”. It is a place to have a great meal and to socialize with old and new friends. So please welcome those new folks and in turn they will become old friends, too.
Blood Pressure Clinic offered by the City of Ely EMT/Fire Department Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11 am-12 Noon.
Open enrollment for Medicare ends December 7 if you want to make changes or have questions call Ashley Drake at Access to Healthcare @ 775 753-4085 Ext. 801.
Congratulations to Earlynn Bestill he was the happy winner of the cut and wrapped 4-H Lamb donated by Chris Collis & Roy Christiansen of Christiansen Drilling.
Lillie Montoya is gracious enough to have a Christmas See’s Candy fundraiser to benefit the Senior Center. Orders will be taken until December 4 and will be delivered in time for Christmas. Order forms are at the Senior Center and money is due with order. See’s Candies make great gifts for Christmas. Not to mention the senior center will make a profit.
Our Annual Christmas Craft and Bake Sale will be Saturday December 7 at the Senior Center from 10 am -2pm. Bring out your best recipes and craft items. Be sure to come by and purchase a few of the wonderful goodies.
Community Christmas Dinner at the Convention Center Christmas Day from 11 am to 2 pm Sponsored by the White Pine Ministerial Association All are welcome to have a good meal and visit with friends.
As always Bingo after lunch on Wednesday. Exercise classes each Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 am until approximately 10:45 am. Pinochle group on Tuesday & Friday after lunch, players needed, any questions please call Vivian Joy @ 289-4770
Food Bank of Northern Nevada monthly on the first Friday at First Baptist Church 701 Ave. N. @ 2:30 pm.
USDA Food Bank monthly on the 3rd Thursday at First Baptist Church 701 Ave. N. @ 9:30 am* * note the new time.
